Vibrant color and sudden beauty characterize these precious pastels of miniature landscapes.

Roadside Musings USA is a collection of pastel drawings made on a car trip across the States from Vermont to California. Each image reveals a delightful view from a camping chair set by the side of the road and reveals aspects of the country no one ever notices.

The series has expanded to include the gardens of friends and ordinary places closer to home. In contrast to some of my other work, which is complex and sometimes difficult, this work encourages finding delight in the pure sensuousness of the natural world.

Pastels are 8x8”—matted and framed they are 13x13” and are available for $150 each.
